Gale Force Students have just spent 2 full days being examined by one of the very top Senior Examiners from the ESB (English Speaking Board) and ALL students passed with either a Distinction or a Merit Plus, which is 80-89%. Great celebrations are now in full swing!!!

Beth Colgan was awarded ‘girl footballer of the year’, and Francesca Warren was awarded ‘Best Chess player of the year’. Harry Ashley is to appear in a national tv campaign over the Summer for a well known child’s toy.

Two Galeforce students, Jessie Quiqley and Harry Ashley, have been awarded trophies. Jessie received her award for the Irish Dancing first examination and Harry won Best Speaker at the Annual Rotary Public Speaking Competition.

These are the two students, Moira Pain and Torin Lakeman who are about to embark on training for ESB's most difficult exam yet, Advanced Certificate in Language Arts, usually taken at 'A' level and yet these two young people are only 14 years of age but such is their standard of work and dedication, Mrs Gale has agreed to prepare and study with them for this exam to be taken in October 2011.

Mrs Wendy McDowell, Mrs Barbara Gale and many friends and colleagues are to hold a ‘Golden Celebration’ in music and words for the life of Cleveland medallist Mrs Dot Cannon who passed away in May and was a Vice-President of the Gale Force Theatre school.

Following on from his triumphant appearances in Lloyd Webber's Requiem and the Taylorian Productions' "The King and I" last year and his recent successes in ABRSM Examinations in Singing (Grade 6 Distinction), Piano (Grade 6 Merit) and Violin (Grade 5 Distinction), Caleb recently auditioned for a Music Award at the famous Eton College.
